How do I cancel my subscription?

Sage subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Sage → tap Cancel Subscription. You will retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

Will I lose my data if I delete the app?

Yes. All your skill goals, practice sessions, and learning resources are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app permanently removes this data. We recommend reviewing your records before uninstalling.

Why does Sage need access to my calendar?

Sage uses your calendar to schedule practice sessions and find available time slots. Calendar data is processed entirely on your device — we do not upload your calendar events to our servers.

How do I connect my Google Calendar with Apple Calendar?

Sage reads events from Apple Calendar, so adding your Google Calendar to Apple Calendar is the easiest way to see all your events in one place. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap CalendarAccountsAdd Account.
  3. Tap Google and sign in with your Google account credentials.
  4. Make sure the Calendars toggle is enabled, then tap Save.
  5. Open the Calendar app — your Google calendars will appear alongside your iCloud calendars automatically.

Once synced, Sage will be able to find available time slots on your Google Calendar when scheduling practice sessions.

How do I turn off notifications?

Open the Settings app → NotificationsSage, then toggle off the notification types you don’t want. You can also manage notification preferences within the Sage app settings.

How does the AI work? Is my data sent to a third party?

When you use Sage’s chat, insights, or resource curation features, your messages and relevant session context are sent to our backend, which forwards them to the Anthropic Claude AI API to generate a response. These messages are not stored beyond the duration of the request. Your skill data and session history remain on your device at all times. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I restored my iPhone — where is my data?

Sage data is stored in a local database that is excluded from iCloud backup by default. If you set up your iPhone from a backup, your Sage data may not be included. We recommend exporting or noting important records before switching devices.


Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account directly from within the app — no need to contact us.

To delete your account:

  1. Open Sage and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Under the Account section, tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes your Firebase Authentication record and all associated usage data from our servers. Your local skill and session data is also removed when you subsequently delete the app from your device.

Note: if you have an active Sage Pro subscription, the app will prompt you to cancel it through Apple before proceeding with account deletion. This prevents future charges. Cancellation is managed entirely by Apple — see the FAQ above for steps.
